QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS Back to top
In today's competitive marketplace, companies increasingly find that registration to ISO 9001 gives them a competitive edge over other firms in their industry. This gives companies the opportunity to add to their bottom line by increasing customer satisfaction and focusing on continual improvement.
Many organisations request our services when installation of a new system is required quickly, or where they have too much documentation, staff who are not confident in managing their Quality Management System effectively or are unsure as to what extent their system can be changed and updated.
ISO 9001:2015 was published in September 2015 which means organisations must complete the transition from ISO 9001:2008 by September 2018. The new Standard adopts a risk-based approach and places increased focus on leadership and planning, whilst ensuring that the context of the organisation and interested parties are clearly established. We encourage all clients to commence the transition process as soon as possible not only as it makes sound business sense to do so, but also to avoid issues regarding availability of certification bodies closer to the transition deadline.
Q Solutions can offer full support and guidance with regard to the transition process commencing with an ISO 9001:2015 gap analysis, full transition support and ISO 9001:2015 training workshops.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS Back to top
A growing number of companies are recognising their corporate responsibilities with regard to environmental issues, whether as a result of increasingly stringent environmental legislation, pressure from customers, ethical reasons, or through choosing to identify cost savings through reducing use of resources.
ISO 14001:2015 was published in September 2015 and provides a vehicle for monitoring and measuring the environmental impact of business activities. Organisations must complete the transition from ISO 14001:2004 to ISO 14001:2015 by September 2018. In addition to several new requirements, the latest version of the Standard uses the same risk based approach of ISO 9001:2015 and demands greater management commitment in the form of effective environmental leadership. .
As with ISO 9001:2015, we greatly encourage clients to commence the transition process as soon as possible, not only to benefit from the new requirements but also in order to avoid issues regarding availability of certification bodies closer to the transition deadline. Q Solutions can offer full support and guidance with regard to the transition process commencing with an ISO 14001:2015 gap analysis, full transition support and ISO 14001:2015 training workshops. .
ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS Back to top
The recent introduction of ESOS, the Energy Savings Opportunities Scheme, means that companies with over 250 employees or an annual turnover of over €50million must undertake an independent energy audit by 05 December 2015. Many organisations are choosing certification to ISO 50001 as it is more cost effective to manage energy costs strategically rather than just pay for an audit.
Certification to ISO 50001 can mean that your company may not have to undertake an ESOS audit. ISO 50001 provides a structure for effective management of energy consumption, allowing companies to identify their actual and future energy consumption, and make energy and cost savings through management, process and equipment improvements.
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS Back to top
With increasing legislation and rising insurance premiums, organisations are also recognising the need to adopt a more structured approach to hazard identification and risk management. This can contribute to a healthier and safer working environment and the avoidance of a high proportion of accidents and occupational health problems, helping to reduce lost time through employee illness and injury.
Aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, BS OHSAS 18001 allows the development of a management system that provides a systematic approach to the identification of occupational health & safety hazards and either the elimination of these hazards or reduction of the associated risks. The current version of OHSAS 18001:2007 will be updated and reissued as ISO 45001:2016 before the end of 2016. Q Solutions will be offering full support and guidance with regard to the transition process commencing with an ISO 45001:2016 gap analysis, full transition support and ISO 45001:2016 training workshops.
